Still no sign of Morristown mother nine months later

MORRISTOWN - It's been more than nine months since a Morristown woman was last seen, and there's been no sign of her.

Inesha Haygood, 24, walked away from her home on Lakeview Circle on Dec. 28, 2015. Law enforcement and her family have been searching for her ever since.

The Morristown Police Department has once again asked the community for help in finding her.

"We believe there may be people in the surrounding community with information that could help us locate her.  Information can be given to police without leaving your name or contact information," the MPD said in a press release Tuesday.

Haygood, who has a seven year old daughter, is not wanted for any criminal reason, according to the release.

She is a black female, 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 120-125 pounds.  She has three tattoos: “Jezz-lyn” on the left side of her neck, “Robert Allen” on her left chest, and a small heart-shaped tattoo on her ankle.

Haygood's boyfriend, Simeon Mendoza, 32, is facing charges of filing false reports for lying about her whereabouts. HIs charges have been bound over to a grand jury with his arraignment set for January 31.

Anyone who has any information can call Anonymous Crime Tips line at 423-585-1833 or contact Detective Phil Hurst at (423) 585-4675.

The family is planning a candlelight vigil for Haygood on Saturday October 8, at 7 p.m. at Cherokee Lake.
