The robbery of the Regions Bank in Alcoa Thursday morning included the female suspect showing a gun.
The Regions Bank on South Calderwood Street in Alcoa was the target of the robbery.
Police say the suspect is a heavyset white woman who appeared to be in her late 40s to early 50s. She had blond hair and stood about 5'5" to 5'6". At the time of the robbery she was wearing a light blue denim shirt, blue jeans, a sun-visor, and sunglasses.
She showed a gun before leaving the bank on foot. When got to a vehicle, she took off the denim shirt and had a black tank-top shirt on underneath.
Alcoa Police and the FBI are investigating.
The suspect may be in a red Jeep Liberty. Authorities got the call just before 10:40 Thursday morning.
