Corn maze evacuated during foot pursuit

Authorities in Jefferson County had to evacuate corn maze goers Saturday morning while in pursuit of a man wanted on numerous warrants.

Police say they began tracking Daniel Walker down Friday night on several warrants including Aggravated Burglary. The pursuit continued Saturday morning when he and his girlfriend were spotted at the Echo Valley Corn Maze in New Market.

Visitors at the corn maze were evacuated, because authorities believed Walker was armed.

Police surrounded the perimeter of the maze and were able to apprehend the couple.

Walker and his girlfirend are now in custody at the Jefferson City jail.
