Sevier Co. man charged in murder of Knoxville woman

A Sevier County man has been charged with homicide in Blount County for the death of a 69-year-old Knoxville woman.

Tracy Lyn Fox of Kodak is held on a half-million dollar bond for the death of Wanda D. Britt of Knoxville. Fox is set for a hearing on Friday.

Invgestigators said they found Fox in Chattanooga early Sunday morning, in possession of Britt's vehicle. Britt had been reported missing in Knox County on Friday.

Her body was found Saturday morning in a remote area off Quarry Hollow Road in Friendsville. Her exact cause of death will be determined by forensic testing.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Chattanooga Police Department, Maryville Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office have all been involved in the investigation.
