Many people walk or run to help fight breast cancer. Kim Green, a Lenoir City artist, paints. She's donating a special print called "Opp T. Mistic" to the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. Green has been painting for 20 years. This year, she decided to change up her portfolio with a "Chicken Coupe Series." It features chickens, and one of the prints has special meaning. It's a portrait of a pink chick called "Opp T. Mistic." Green painted it in honor of a dear friend battling breast cancer. "My friend had gone through chemo at the beginning of the year," says artist Kim Green. "They found another lump, and I wanted to do something for her and to raise money for breast cancer." Green is auctioning off the "Opp T. Mistic" print online. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Knoxville will receive 100 percent of the sale. ArtDealers.com is also donating 15 percent above the sale price. Opp t. Mistic, the pink chick portrait, will be on display at Gift Gourmet & Interiors through November 15th.
