The death of an inmate at the Morgan County Correctional Complex is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
Micheal Sean Allen, 28, was found dead in his cell at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
The Tennessee Department of Correction said Allen was serving a 6-year sentence for attempted robbery and theft of property in Knox County. He'd been in TDOC custody since 2007.
The official cause of death will be decided by autopsy.
