Blount County deputies said they arrested a Maryville man at his job in Knoxville for sex crimes against a child.

David Louis Childress, 43, who listed his address as homeless in Maryville, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

Authorities with the HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit have been investigating Childress. Investigators said they found several images of child pornography on his computer.

The U.S. Marshals Service's Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force arrested Childress on Monday at his place of employment. He is being held at the Blount County Adult Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

Childress is scheduled for a hearing in Blount County General Session Court at 9 a.m. on Nov. 9.
