278th to train in December, deploy to Iraq in February

The Tennessee National Guard's 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment is preparing to deploy to Iraq.

The combat unit will head to Camp Shelby, Mississippi, on December 5 to begin mobilization training. The 278th ACR is expected to deploy to Iraq in February.

There are more than 3,300 soldiers in the 278th ACR, with a range stretching from Kingsport to Henderson.
