Gov. Phil Bredesen has announced a reward in connection with the murder of a Corryton store owner, who was found shot to death in his store in September.
Jim Mullins owned and operated the Rutledge Pike Discount Store in the Corryton area. His brother Sonny Mullins believes Jim was killed in a robbery attempt.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crime and has sent surveillance images to the FBI for enhancement. Beyond that, little official information has been released about a suspect description or motive.
Gov. Bredesen hopes offering a $10,000 reward for information in the case will lead to the person who shot Jim Mullins.
Attorney General Randy Nichols received a letter from Bredesen in October, approving the reward he requested.
