Lane Kiffin said it would be "interesting" to see how the SEC responds to criticism of officials by Florida Head Coach Urban Meyer.

Meyer told reporters officials missed a late hit call on Georgia's Nick Williams early in Saturday's game.  Williams hit Tim Tebow well after he handed the ball off to Jeff Demps.

After Kiffin's criticism of the crew at the Alabama game, SEC Athletic Directors voted unanimously to give commissioner Mike Slive authority to fine and/or suspend anyone who publicly criticizes officials, eliminating the step of a reprimand that had been in the SEC rules.

Slive was traveling Wednesday and is expected to address the situation Thursday or Friday.

Here is the University of Tennessee's release on the rest of Coach Kiffin's post-practice comments Wednesday:

Head coach Lane Kiffin was pleased with the Vols' passing defense, especially one-on-one drills, during Wednesday's practice at Haslam Field.

"It was good to see from one standpoint, especially the pass rush," Kiffin said. "Chris Walker was back out there today, full speed. Our front four rushed really well today, so hopefully that will carry over to the game. As an offense, we need to get better in our pass protection."

Walker, a junior defensive end, missed last week's victory over South Carolina with a back injury. Kiffin said junior defensive end Gerald Williams did not practice, but senior wide receiver Quintin Hancock was also at "full speed." Hancock has not played since injuring his foot against Georgia.
