Suspected drunken driving stop ends with drug arrest

 A suspected drunken driving stop ended with Kentucky State Police uncovering more than 300 prescription pills.

Brittany Sowers, 24, of Owingsville, Kentucky is facing a list of charges: Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd degree.

Officers pulled over her car this week in Knox County, Kentucky. They believed she was driving drunk, but when they searched her car, officers found a large amount of Oxycontin and Xanax pills.

Sowers' passenger Ricky Williams, 40, of Harbor Beach, Florida is facing the following charges: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd degree

Both are in currently in the Knox County Detention Center. Authorities said they are still investigating the case.
