Drug dealers in Oak Ridge had a surprise at their doors Friday night.
Four different agencies, including the Oak Ridge Police and Anderson County Sheriff's departments, worked together in a drug round-up.
The officers had 80 warrants for 49 different individuals wanted for various drug offenses, ranging from marijuana to cocaine.
Oak Ridge police are hoping Friday's round-up sends a clear message.
"Sooner or later, if you sell drugs, you're going to have to pay the price," said Oak Ridge Police Chief David Beam. "Some people are able to slide by for awhile, and then they get scooped up when they least expect it. I can assure you none of these 49 people we're looking for right now and some who we've already arrested were expecting this tonight."
At last check on Friday night, authorities had arrested 28 people during the round-up.
