Event: Free meal for veterans at The Orangery
Details: Area veterans will have the chance to dine at one of Knoxville's premiere restaurants for free in honor of their service. City Councilwoman Barbara Pelot will be in the restaurant lobby to greet each veteran. Reservations are required by calling 865-588-2964. For a complete menu, visit www.theorangeryrestaurant.com
Event: Free admission to the Museum of Applachia for veterans and active-duty military

Event: A.L. Lotts Veteran's Day Celebration
Details: The school will be honoring veterans with its Veteran's Day Assembly at 8:10 a.m.
Event: Cocke County High School Veteran's Day Program
Details: Senator Bob Corker is attending the program as the keynote speaker. The event beings at 10 a.m.
Event: 84th Veteran's Day Parade
Details: The parade will start at 10:45 a.m. on Gay Street.
Events: ORNL Veteran's Day Celebration
Details: The celebration will be held at 11 a.m. in the Conference Center of the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Major General (Ret.) Warren Edwards will be the keynote speaker. The Clinton High School band will march about 400 yards to the Conference Center in a Veteran's Day parade, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Event: Free lunch, ceremony for veterans at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson dealerships
Details: The dealerships in Maryville and London, Ky. are opening their doors to all veterans for a free lunch and short ceremony from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Event: Gatlinburg's 7th Annual Veteran's Day Celebration
Details: General Carl Stiner will serve as the keynote speaker at the celebration on Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza. The free event beings at 11 a.m.
Event: Rockwood VFW Post 4782, American Legion Post 50 Veteran's Day services
Details: The service starts at 11 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Boy Scouts will place memorial flags. Fifth graders from Ridgeview Elementary School also will participate in the service.
Event: Volunteer Ministry's Veteran's Day Service
Details: Veteran James Harmon was homeless before moving into his apartment just before Halloween. The service will honor Harmon and other veterans with a lunch sponsored by B&W, Y-12 and the Daughters of the American Revolution. The event will be held at the Volunteer Ministry Center's new facility at 511 N. Broadway. Army Brigadier General Burt Tackaberry (Ret.) is the keynote speaker. All veterans will be provided with a winter coat and other necessities.
Event: Mayor and ROTC delivers plants to veterans
Details: Mayor Mike Ragsdale, UT Army ROTC cadets and Knox Co. Veterans Affairs staff will be delivering plants to all 140 residents at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. They will begin at 2:30 p.m. The potted plants are donated by Stanley's Greenhouse.
