85-year-old woman dies in truck vs. tractor trailer wreck

 A wreck involving a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer killed an 85-year-old woman in Scott County.

The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and State Highway 63 around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The report indicates Edith Mae Marcum of Oneida was trying to make a left turn from Hwy. 67 onto Hwy. 63 when she pulled into the path of a tractor trailer.

The driver of the tractor trailer, William P. Renfro, 45, of Louisville, veered right to avoid the collision, but hit Marcum's Dodge Ram in the right side.

Troopers said both vehicles stopped on an embankment on the side of Highway 27.

The report said Marcum was killed, and Renfro was injured in the accident.

Both individuals were wearing seatbelts. No drugs or alcohol were involved.
