The city of Alcoa has now identified the driver killed in a crash on Topside Road.
Troy Adkins, 31 and of Louisville, was killed in the head-on crash.
Authorities said 55-year-old Terry Spencer's Dodge Ram truck crossed the center line while driving westbound and hit Adkins' 1994 Honda Accord head-on.
According to the city of Alcoa, Adkins was killed instantly. A three-year-old child in the car was seriously injured and taken to UT Medical Center for treatment.
Spencer is listed in serious condition at the University of Tennessee. The crash is still under investigation.
