Knoxville stabbing KPD

Knoxville Police are investigating a late night stabbing in East Knoxville.

Officers responded to a stabbing on Mount Road just before 10:30 pm Thursday night.

They found 27-year-old Christopher Norman on the porch of his home, suffering from several stab wounds to his head, chest, and stomach.

Inside the home, officers found a suspect, a witness, and a knife.

Norman was taken to UT Medical Center.  There's no word on his condition.

The suspect and witness were being interviewed by investigators.

The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Benny Joe Williams.

Williams is being charged with Aggravated Assault with a bond of $5,000.
