Clerk cut with box cutter in attempted robbery

 Anderson County authorities are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a gas station.

It happened at the Exxon on Main Street in Lake City around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. 

Dispatchers said a man armed with a box cutter tried to rob the convenient store. He cut the clerk on the arm, but didn't get away with any money.

Authorities said the man did take some personal items from the cashier.

The clerk suffered only minor injuries and wasn't transported to the hospital.
