A Clinton man, badly injured in a hit and run in the Lexington area, has died, according to affiliate WLEX.
Anthony Gibbs, 24, had been in a coma since the hit-and-run incident Saturday. A car struck him as he tried to cross Nicholasville Road. He died Wednesday night at University of Kentucky Hospital around 10 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Woodhaven Funeral Home.
Police were looking for 23-year-old Hector Rivera, who owned the car police believe was involved. Rivera's car, a silver Audi, was found abandoned on a dead end street. There's no word at this point of an arrest.
