Authorities are working a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 11-E.

Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Tennessee Highway Patrol and New Market Volunteer Fire Department.

It happened near the Roadside Market along Hwy. 11-E around 6:40 p.m. Saturday. Officials said a Ford F-150 and a large box truck were involved in the accident. The box truck was hauling another truck in its trailer.

Authorities said the driver of the box truck was leaving the Roadside Market when he attempted to cross both northbound lanes of Hwy. 11-E. According to officials, he pulled out in front of the pick-up truck. The driver of the pick-up truck hit the back left corner of the vehicle, causing the box truck to flip.

New Market firefighters said one man was in the pick-up truck and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was flown from the scene with non-life threatening injuries.

Two men were in the box truck. Authorities said they weren't transported to the hospital.

One lane each direction was blocked as of 8 p.m. Traffic is moving slowly in the area.
