Attempt at motorcycle trick ends with deadly wreck

 An attempt at a motorcycle trick ended with a deadly wreck.

It happened on Smith Road in Oneida just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Darry D. Smith of Oneida tried to do a wheelie on his motorcycle.

Troopers said he lost control and rode into a ditch. Smith then went airborne and hit a tree.

The report said he was not wearing a helmet.
