Police in eastern Kentucky are investigating the death of a girl who they say was shot by her older brother.
Kentucky State Police said it happened at a residence in the community of Cannon in Knox County, Ky.
Authorities said a 12-year-old boy was cleaning a shotgun when it accidentally fired Tuesday. The bullet hit his 9-year-old sister while she was watching television.
The girl was transported to Knox General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the case is still under investigation.
