
Hundreds of shoppers anxiously waited for the clock to strike 12 a.m. outside Toys "R" Us in West Knoxville.
The toy store opened at midnight to share their Black Friday deals with eager customers.
Carrie Mattingly traveled to the Kingston Pike Toys "R" Us store all the way from Kentucky.
She hoped to purchase three Zhu Zhu Pets.
Mattingly had a back-up plan in place in case the store sold out of the robotic hamsters.
"Actually, my mom is doing this right now in Michigan. She is sitting outside a Toys "R" Us store in Michigan to help me get everything I need," Mattingly said.
Bass Pro Shops in Kodak entertained more than 50 Black Friday Shoppers Thursday night outside their store.
The customers, who planned to camp out in the parking lot, were offered hot chocolate and apple cider. They also made s'mores with a bonfire built by the outdoor store.
Bass Pro Shops management expect to see 250-300 shoppers waiting outside their store when they open at 6 a.m. Friday.
