
A Tennessee state trooper is out of the hospital and a woman is facing a list of charges including DUI after a head-on collision on Campbell Station Road.
The accident was reported shortly after 8 pm Friday night.
Officials say Trooper Philip Wagner was heading north on Campbell Station. He was in a turn lane waiting to turn into the Pilot gas station when a Jeep Cherokee entered the lane and hit the cruiser head on.
Trooper Wagner was taken to U.T. Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The driver of the Jeep, 34-year-old Julie Walker of Loudon County was taken into custody on the scene.
Walker is charged with DUI, vehicular assault, fail to maintain lane, fail to exercise due care, seat belt violation and violation of financial responsibility.
