Police say a 22-year-old woman may have been drunk and texting when she crashed her vehicle into a West Knoxville flower shop sign.

Also in the vehicle was a 21-day-old infant that was not in a Child Restraint Device.

Officers report the driver, Margaret Atamanchuk, drove off the road Saturday night and struck the sign in front of Crouch Florist on Kingston Pike.

The child was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police are charging Atamanchuk with D.U.I., Careless Driving, Child Restraint Violation and Driving Left of Center.

More charges are pending.
