TennCare officials say an electronic error caused information such as Social Security numbers for about 3,900 enrollees to be sent to incorrect addresses. Officials said Friday the error was the result of a modification to the system that pulls addresses into an electronic file for TennCare, the state's expanded Medicaid program. Letters and cards that contained one or more pieces of personal information were sent to incorrect addresses. However, TennCare director Darin Gordon said officials noticed the problem early and stopped additional mailings. TennCare has about 1.2 million enrollees.
