Greene County to host college women's golf championship in 2011, 2012

Greene County's Link Hills Country Club will play host to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Golf National Championships, bringing the event to Tennessee for the first time.

The Greene County Partnership Tourism and Chamber of Commerce worked with NAIA to bring the tournament to East Tennessee.

The women's golf championship has been held since 1995 at 10 different sites. This will be the first time the event comes to Tennessee.

Link Hills is a private 18-hole course built in 1955.
