Knoxville police are investigating a shooting in South Knoxville that sent one man to the hospital.
It happened in the 1100 block of Irene Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He went to UT Medical Center by ambulance. Officers have not released his name or condition.
Investigators are questioning someone about the incident.
