Fifty goats were brought in to Fort Dickerson Sunday afternoon to chow down on the Kudzu above Chapman Highway as a part of a natural eradication of the destructive plant.

The goats will be in place for a week or two depending on how long it takes them to eat all the Kudzu. According to experts, 60 goats can eat between three and five acres in one to two weeks.

The public will be able to see the goats in action on Thursday at a "Breakfast with the Goats" from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Organizers with Keep Knoxville Beautiful said there will also be a goat petting from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
