Make summer
reading fun with this bookworm game! To make the bookworm, cut out a
worm pattern on construction paper, and then glue the worm on to a
poster board. For prize spaces, fold a piece of paper in half in order
to hide what is underneath and tack down the flap with a sticker. Once
you have made the bookworm, your child will be ready to play! For each
book your child reads, they get to move a space on the bookworm, every
third or fourth space hides a prize, such as ice-cream, stickers, or
toy! This is a great way to get your kids excited about summer reading!
