Scott County raid nets guns, cash, drugs

The Scott County Sheriff's Office has seized dozens of guns, hundreds of pain pills, and thousands of dollars in cash at a home near Hunstville.

According to Drug Agent Kris Lewallen, the home was raided this week after numerous complaints from citizens.

Officers confiscated a large amount of drugs, including 189 Dilaudid capsules, 485 80mg OxyContin, 102 15mg Percocet, 463 40mg Opana, 124 Xanax and three 10mg Hydrocodone.  They also found 46 marijuana plants growing in the residence, along with the cash and 45 guns. 

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is about $121,000 dollars.  Lewallen said all the prescription drugs could be traced to a pain clinic in Knoxville. 

Two men were arrested.  Randall Messer Sr., 50, was charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule II drug for resale, possession of a Schedule III drug for resale, felony cultivation of marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm, simply possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Randy Graves, 45, was charged with possession of a Schedule IV drug, felony cultivation of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
