Strong storms rolled through parts of East Tennessee Sunday night knocking out power to more than 2,200 KUB customers and more than 1,500 Fort Loudon Electric customers.
Utility crews have been working since the early morning hours to get the power restored.
In Monroe County emergency dispatchers say Sweetwater and Madisonville were the hardest hit areas with trees and power lines down.
Many roads in those areas are scattered with down tree branches and debris.
Sweetwater resident Cynthia Wiseman say just as the storm passed her husband looked outside to find their child's swing set blown over and broken into pieces and part of the roof blown off their barn.
