The second  Furry Friends Fest attracted musicians, the public and some four legged visitors in Blount County, Sunday.

It's all to raise money for the Blount County Humane Society. They're on a mission to make the county a no-kill community.

They work with the Maryville City Animal Shelter to give pets permanent homes, but they say they can't do it without the community's help.

It's a wonderful event so far," said Blount Co. Humane Society special events coordinator Laura Sharp. "We have a lot of people here today last year it brought in a lot of money and this year we're hoping to double that so we can continue to do what we do."

Over the last year the humane society found adoptive and foster homes for more than 400 pets.
