A pair of East Tennessee women have filed simple assault complaints against each other after a disagreement over some neighborhood kittens ended with a tomato fight.

According to the Greene County Sheriff's Department, 71-year-old Norma Ricker was tending her garden which she shares with her neighbor, 28-year-old Rachael Price.

Ricker told police they got into an argument over stray kittens Price was feeding. That's when she says Price threw a green tomato and hit her in the face. Ricker also says Price hit her on the arm with a tobacco stick.

Now, Ricker says their friendship is over.

"I thought the world of her. I would have given her the shirt off my back. Not now I wouldn't," she said.

According to the offense report, Price made similar statements to police and said Ricker assaulted her with the tobacco stick on the foot.

Price did not talk to the media.
