At the end of May, authorities found dozens of dead and barely living cats inside a Sevierville mobile home.
Thursday, a Sevier County man pled guilty to five counts of animal cruelty, all misdemeanors.
William Hood appeared in a Sevier County courtroom Thursday morning. He will serve at least 30 days in the county jail before he goes to Centerpointe for therapy.
Hood will then be placed on five consecutive years of supervised probation.
Among the other agreements, he can't have any more animals without court approval.
He will also have to do 200 hours of community service and pay $5,800 to the Sevier Humane Society.
