Hundreds of runners participated in the "Man Run" on Saturday morning to raise funding and awareness for prostate cancer.

This event, presented by Regal Entertainment, included a 10-K, 5-K and one mile runs.

All the money raised from Saturday's run went towards free prostate cancer screening and education about the deadly disease.

According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second deadliest and fastest growing cancer among men. The organization said that one in six men will have prostate cancer at some point during their lifetimes. Still doctors say early detection and annual screenings can greatly lower risks for men.

Organizers said they hope the "Man Run" will help promote early detection and awareness before prostate cancer awareness month in September.
