Grainger County Sheriffs arrested a married couple on drug charges and possession of a firearm after they raided a residence on Cross Road in Bean Station.
Sheriffs arrested Corey Steven Adkins, 26, and Heather Nicole Atkins, 22. The suspects lived at the residence, where deputies uncovered roxycodone, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun inside the home.
Sheriff Scott Layel said deputies believe the suspects were major dealers and ran an elaborate pill dealing business from their residence in Grainger County. He said surveillance saw as many as 30 to 40 different vehicles visiting the residence each day.
Authorities said the suspects are currently in Grainger County Jail, under a $7,500 bond. Their arraignment is schedule for next week.
