A Grainger County man faces charges for manufacturing methamphetamine.
Sunday Grainger County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Danny Joe Gray, 43, of Rutledge. Deputies found him in the possession of several things used to make meth. They also found .2 grams of a white powder, believed to be meth.
Authorities are holding Gray at the Grainger County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Sunday's arrest brings the total narcotics-related arrests to nearly 1,500 during a two-year operation.
"It's been a long hard road but our department has strived to rid the county of drugs," Sheriff Scott Layel said. "We have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. We will continue these operations zealously until the streets and schools are safe once more."
