People enjoyed the beautiful weather by participating in the "Great Amazing Adventure Race" at Sequoyah Park on Sunday afternoon.
The competition consisted of several teams of two, consisting of a young kid with a parent, sibling or mentor. The teams battled it out across an one-mile cross-country course with a twist.
Runners had to complete eight challenges in order to move on to the next station. Kids used challenge cues and good teamwork to move forward along the course.
"The Great Amazing Race Series" is part of the "30-Minutes a Day Family Program," which is a national initiative designed to promote family engagement and active lifestyles.
