One of Tennessee's top economic leaders is leaving his job and joining forces with Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.
Commissioner of Economic and Community Development Bill Hagerty will be joining Romney's transition team. Governor Haslam made the announcement Monday.
The leave is only temporary. He'll be back to his regular job after the November election.
Hagerty had a similar job with John McCain's presidential campaign in 2008.
