A popular family-friendly Halloween event in Knoxville will not be taking place this year.
The Knoxville Police Department will not hold its annual Halloween on the Plaza event. The free event was held outside the Civic Coliseum as a safe alternative for trick-or-treating.
This year, KPD decided to take part in Boo at the Zoo at the Knoxville Zoo.
A police spokesperson says the move will allow officers to have more opportunities to interact with the community.
Boo at the Zoo dates:
October 12-13, 18-21 & 25-30.
5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
