People celebrated "Oktoberfest" at the Bearden Beer Market, while supporting a worthwhile cause at the same time on Sunday night.
All the money raised during this event benefited the UT Medical Center's cancer unit. Event organizers said they sold more than 150 tickets for this cause.
UT Medical Center said partnering with the Bearden Beer Market provided a unique opportunity for their fundraising.
"They're a really laid back atmosphere, it's not something anyone else was really doing here in Knoxville, and it fits with our ethos" said Katie Bahr with UT Medical Center. "It fits with what we're trying to do, which is to do things that are unique, involve young people and get them to think about philanthropy a little bit more."
