A judge sentenced former Hawkins County Assistant District Attorney General John Douglas Godbee to two years of supervised probation and 200 hours of community service after he was found guilty of official misconduct.
In addition to these sentences, Godbee must also undergo a mental evaluation, complete counseling and will be disbarred from the practice of law.
The former prosecutor was accused of trying to solicit a sexual relationship with a woman in 2010 in return of a favorable outcome in a case he was prosecuting.
Officials said 14 other victims have also filed suit claiming they or family members suffered from Godbee's misconduct as well.
