Nearly 2,000 people are without power in East Knoxville.
The power outage, occurring shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, is affecting KUB customers in areas around Knoxville Center Mall, Washington Pike and Murphy Road.
A KUB spokesperson said they do not know way caused the outage and multiple crews are on scene. KUB said three transformers at its substation are out, which is causing the power outage.
