The Knoxville Horror Film Festival is presenting its fourth annual show this weekend at the Relix Variety Theatre. A long list of short films accompany a few features during the three-night event.

Organizers say it's a way to showcase films that wouldn't otherwise play before a Knoxville audience.

"These films are good and they usually end up playing theatrically in major cities and festivals and not coming anywhere near here. So, I'm a big fan of horror film; I always got sick of not being able to see them, so we try to bring them here," said William Mahaffey, the director of the Knoxville Horror Film Fest.

The festival wraps up Saturday at Relix, and that final day will feature the short films of 21 teams who had just six days and 66 minutes to crank out scary works of art.
