Along a windy road in Knox County sits Cruze Dairy.

"My dad's been milking cows since he was 8," says Colleen Cruze. "Its been a family business for many generations."

It's a business that never sleeps.

"We milk Jersey cows, every day twice a day even on holidays," says Colleen. "We bottle milk, make home-made ice cream. Once a week we churn about 50 gallons of ice cream and we make buttermilk every week and we also make a little bit of butter."

The family sells whole milk, light milk, chocolate milk and one of Colleen's favorite, buttermilk.

"Buttermilk's really delicious and we make it here on the farm. Everyone knows it makes the best biscuits and pancakes but if you just drink it, it's really wonderful."

The family operates a corn maze, petting zoo and  pumpkin patch during the fall which just wrapped up for the season.

"After Halloween we'll close it down for the season and will open it again in the spring."

In addition to their milk products, Cruze also churns out gallons of ice cream.

"Right now we have pumpkin ice cream and it's everybody's seasonal favorite. We're about to make sweet potato with torched marshmallows and  and then eggnog and peppermint."

The business keeps them busy but most importantly, it keeps them together.

"The best part...besides eating the ice cream every day is getting to work with family members is really nice."
