Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Andre Roberson scored 12 points, tied his
career-high by pulling down 20 rebounds, and registered three steals and
blocks to lead the Colorado Buffaloes as they completed a 75-54 rout of the
Stanford Cardinal in Pac-12 Conference action at the Coors Events Center.
Askia Booker tallied a team-high 13 points and swiped three steals for
Colorado (13-6, 3-4 Pac-12) as it picked up its second consecutive victory.
Josh Scott and Spencer Dinwiddie contributed 12 points apiece while Xavier
Johnson netted 11 points.
Chasson Randle paced Stanford (11-8, 2-4) with 15 points, but he went 5-of-21
from the field and committed three turnovers. Dwight Powell finished with 11
points and seven boards as the Cardinal lost for the third time in four
outings.
Colorado wasted no time taking control of the bout and went into the
intermission on top, 44-29, after converting 56.7 percent of its field goal
attempts in the first half. The Cardinal fell behind after shooting 34.3
percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes.
Stanford cooled off after the break to make only 27.6 percent of its attempts
from the field, including only 2-of-12 from 3-point range. The Buffaloes
cruised to the win despite making only 4-of-11 at the charity stripe in the
second half.
Colorado held a sizeable, 48-30, edge in the rebounding battle and outscored
the visitors, 44-20, in the paint.
