A man wanted for several break-ins in Campbell County was taken into custody after a traffic stop.
According to Sheriff Robbie K. Goins, deputies has been searching for Randy Monday for two days after a home invasion on Wednesday. The Knox County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search.
Goins calls Monday a "career criminal" and believes he is responsible for several burglaries to homes, a business, and a church in the northern part of Campbell County, particularly in the Morley area.
Monday was arrested after a traffic stop Friday morning in Caryville for a violation of probation. Other charges are pending.
"I can't express enough how thankful we are for the hard work and dedication of our deputies and investigators and for their non-stop work ethic to help bring this to a conclusion and Randy Monday into custody. We want to thank the Knox County Sheriff's Aviation Unit for providing a helicopter Wednesday. It takes a concerted, heartfelt team effort to follow these cases and individuals to their most resolute conclusion and I am proud of their vigilance," said Sheriff Goins.
