Munice, IN (Sports Network) - Walter Offutt scored 17 points as the Ohio
University Bobcats rolled over the Ball State Cardinals, 69-42, in a Mid-
American Conference tilt at Worthen Arena.
T.J. Hall added 10 points for Ohio (16-6, 7-1 MAC) which had 11 different
players score in the game. The Bobcats bounced back from their first
conference loss of the season with the win which was their eighth in the last
nine games.
Jauwan Scaife scored 18 points and Matt Kamieniecki had nine rebounds for
Ball State (8-13, 2-7) which has lost three straight and seven of its last
eight.
Ohio cruised to a 34-14 lead at halftime by shooting 44.4 percent from the
field while holding Ball State to just five field goals on 25 percent
shooting.
After the break the Bobcats hit 43.8 percent of their shots from the field
while yet again holding the Cardinals to below 30 percent shooting.
The Bobcats forced 22 turnovers and had a 26-9 edge in points off
takeaways.
