It's going to be a little longer before drivers will be able to navigate State Street in downtown Knoxville, as contractors in charge of expanding the State Street Parking Garage say they have run into some "logistical" issues.
That means State Street will not reopen until Monday, March 11th, and Union Avenue will now be closed Friday so the crane there can move to south Central Street.
Once the crane arrives, that part of Central Street will be closed starting on Monday.
Officials say these little hang-ups will allow an additional 250 parking spots in the garage, at least for a little while.
