Zack Godley tossed the first shutout for the Vols since 2006 as Tennessee opened its series with Missouri with a 4-0 win.
Craig Cobb was the last UT pitcher to throw a nine-inning shutout. Godley finished with eight strikeouts.
Due to the strong possibility of inclement weather on Sunday, the Tennessee and Missouri baseball teams have officially been approved to play a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. The second game will start 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first with both contests set to be nine-inning affairs.
